Niskayuna Town Pool Holds Event to Benefit DMC

The Niskyuna Wild Turkey Swim team held their 7th annual swim event to benefit the Donna Crandall Foundation.  Life guards Sarah Evans and Aiden Wolfe organized the 2014 swim. U-Neck Pillows Donated to Foundation

Mike Yovine, Quality Assurance Supervisor at Softex in Waterford, New York, donated 38 U-Neck pillows to the Donna M. Crandall Foundation. We have delivered them to the hospital and they will be enjoyed by both pediatric and adult CF patients. Mike’s mom, Barbara, is an adult patient at Albany Med.

High School Students Deliver Gifts to Lounge

Each weekend Alexa VanGalen, a junior at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, and Frankie Salamida, a junior at Bethlehem High School, shop at BJ’s and then deliver the goods to the renovated Donna Crandall lounge at Albany Medical Center. Patient favorites are trail mix and candy bars, but the girls accept special requests, too.

Girl Scout Troop Donates Gifts Bags

Girl scout Troop 1499 went shopping and filled six Donna M Crandall Foundation gift bags. The Loudonville Elementary school based troop had lots of new ideas.  The bags will be delivered to the pediatric floor at Albany medical center this month

Shaker Modified Swim Team Completes Mile Challenge for Foundation

The modified Shaker Junior High swim team joined forces with the Shaker boys varsity swim team to help support the Donna M. Crandall Foundation. 60 swimmers finished the mile challenge to help raise money. Thanks to coach Daniels and coach Murray for organizing the event.

Starfish Swim Club Holds Swim Mania Event

CF Lounge Renovation Approaches Completion

The new E5 CF Lounge is almost complete. A new shadow box highlighting Donna Crandall’s favorite things was installed behind the new sectional couch. Foundation Raises $1.9 Million to Date

As we move into January 2014, the Donna M Crandall Foundation has passed the 1.9 million dollar mark . With the help of many generous friends and family, the Foundation is well positioned to help local CF patients treated at Albany Medical Center this year.

DMC Cookie Run '13

Steve and Joan Hart organized the 13th Annual Christmas cookie project today. They had 26 bakers this year filling 70 tins of cookies. Steve, Jack Cheney and Kailyn Hart helped to pack the car. The tins will be delivered to the Albany Med CF clinic on Tuesday, Dec 9th.
